| Christian Research is trusted as an independent voice on the state of the church |
Christian Research traces its origins to MARC Europe, a World Vision project designed to conduct research and provide education for the church. In 1993 MARC Europe closed and Peter Brierley, who was the research specialist at MARC Europe, set up Christian Research as an independent charity.
For most of its time as an Independent charity Peter Brierley was the Executive Director with Heather Wraight as Deputy Director. In February 2007 Heather retired and in June 2007 Peter retired. Benita Hewitt started as Executive Director in July 2007.
In 2008 Christian Research became part of Bible Society. Bible Society provides support for Christian Research and is a 'resident research client', but Christian Research maintains its professional impartiality and the editorial independence critical to its role. Christian Research also guarantees complete confidentiality to all clients.
